Shelley Sekula Gibbs Officially Announces for TX 22
Sekula Gibbs Announces Support From Conservative Leaders: Clymer Wright and Swift Boat Author John O'Neill
Houston – Shelley Sekula Gibbs, candidate for congress in Texas' 22nd
congressional district, held a rally today to open her new campaign headquarters
in Clear Lake and officially kick off her congressional campaign.
“This hasn’t exactly been a secret,” Sekula Gibbs told a crowd of
about 100 supporters. “But I’m running for Congress and I intend to defeat Nick
Lampson in 2008 with your help.”
Also at the event was her new campaign chairman, Clymer Wright,
former Texas Finance Chairman for Ronald Reagan and noted conservative “Swift
Boat Veterans” author John O'Neill who wrote: Unfit for Command.
"I am encouraged and excited about this race," said Sekula Gibbs.
"Traveling the district, we've received a tremendous amount of support and I
believe more than ever that the citizens of TX-22 deserve a conservative leader
who will cut taxes, hold the line on spending and stay tough on illegal
immigration." Sekula Gibbs said she plans to open offices in all
four counties in the district and run a strong, positive grassroots campaign
that highlights her conservative values.
“Shelley is exactly the type of principled, conservative leader we
need in TX-22, and I’m proud to give her my support,” said Clymer Wright, who
agreed to serve as the Sekula Gibbs for Congress Campaign
Chairman.
